Sam Jolman, MA
Counselor
"The true story of every person is the journey of his heart." John Eldredge
Sam is a heart focused counselor, helping his clients get to the heart of their problems. More than self help advice or
symptom relief, he believes the best counseling offers a place for a person to become whole as well as holy. He seeks
to engage a person in his or her story, discovering how a person has been wounded and how he or she has tried to
cope with life apart from God. Nothing brings Sam greater joy than seeing his clients living alive, with a full heart again.
Sam has a heart to work with men specifically, helping guys work through the things that paralyze them – including sex
addiction, same sex attraction, anxiety, repetitive compulsions, sexual abuse, and childhood trauma. He has a passion
to see men reconnect with the courage and strength that God has given them. He also works with teenage young men
and their parents and helping couples strengthen their relationship through marriage counseling.
He received his MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. He has been further trained through the
Pastoral Care Ministry School and a Wild at Heart Advance. Before counseling, he was the Director of Ministry to
Men at Mars Hill Bible Church, where he led men’s wilderness trips into Canada. He has also worked with teenage
boys in a therapeutic group home setting.
Sam lives in Colorado Springs, CO, with his beautiful wife Amanda. He enjoys writing and does as much
snowboarding and mountain biking as he possibly can.
